Description This course is designed to prepare each student with the skills necessary, for Operations, installation, setup, programming and basic operational troubleshooting of a robotic system. The course will be taught with a 50/50 theory to hands on approach. Theory portions will be followed by lab exercises to ensure an in depth understanding of all key topics. Robotic Basics: General safety guidelines, emergency-stops and servo lockouts Basic components of the manipulator, and the robot controller Power up procedures, Fault recovery procedures Use of Jog keys for jogging the robot safely Understanding of use of degrees of freedom and dominant axis function Understanding jogging the robot different modes Program Selection and cycling the robot in continuous and step modes Basic programs instructions; positions, wait signals, registers, outputs on/off.
