Description This is a 300 hour class which prepares participants to become entry level welders. This course covers gas metal arc welding, gas metal acer welding, and flux cored arc welding. The course also includes basic math functions, reading a tape measure, blue print reading, shop and welding safety, weld symbol interpretation, oxyfuel and plasma cutting and weld inspection. Additionally, participants receive interviewing skills training geared specifically for manufacturing/welders and an employer job fair. The hearing test, physical, and respiratory tests fees will be included in the tuition.

Admission Requirements At least three weeks prior to class start date, participants must complete Registration and Release of Information forms. Physical Examination forms must be completed at least two weeks prior to class start date and submitted to Melissa at GTEC.
