Description The Delta College Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Refresher Course is primarily geared toward the nurse who desires to return to nursing after an absence for an extended period of time or to transition back into acute care after working in other areas of nursing. The goal of the 120 hour (20 hours simulated lab, 60 hours clinical practice, 40 hours independent online study) Nurse Refresher Course is to update nurses' knowledge and skill base, as well as increase the confidence of nurses as they return to clinical practice or the acute care setting

Admission Requirements Proof of current active Michigan Registered or Practical Nurse license and/or proof of RN or LPN Nursing Program completion. Health Care Provider CPR Certification. Health Physical done by physician, nurse practioner, or physician's assistant (Delta form will be required). Documentation of immunizations and TB testing. Documentation of Hepatitis B Series or signed waiver form. Recent OSHA Training and/or completed test on Delta College's Exposure Control Manual (will be online information for this pre-requisite). Review of HIPAA video at Delta (will be online information for this pre-requisite)
