Description One of the most rapidly expanding skills in modern industry is the field of digital electronics. There is an ever-increasing demand by industry for trained electronics technicians to assist in the development, maintenance, testing, and repair of modern electronic equipment. This program would provide the technical knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment in industry as technicians in electronics layout, electronics instrumentation, electronics design, electronics laboratory, electronics field service technician, and engineering aide. Students may also install microcomputers, maintain communications equipment, write technical reports, and represent sales and service instrumentation equipment.

Admission Requirements Admission to St. Clair County Community College is open to all applicants who are high school graduates or who have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) Test and those eligible for Ability to Benefit. Individuals who have stopped attending high school but whose high school class has not graduated as of the intended application date will not be considered for admission until such time as the date of graduation occurs.
