Description The Industrial Electronics Technology program is ideal for students interested in pursuing careers working with the latest electronics, computer, and industrial control technologies. This challenging program provides an exceptionally strong foundation in electronics theory supported by extensive hands-on experience through accompanying labs. Topics include amplifier and digital circuitry, programmable logic, robotics, microprocessors, instrumentation, simulation, troubleshooting, and industrial automation. Real world theory and applications are emphasized throughout the program. Aerospace, commercial, consumer, industrial, medical, security, and transportation technologies depend on electronic systems. The operation, implementation, and design of such fields require knowledgeable technicians and technologists. Industrial Electronics Technology graduates are employed in the design, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial process control systems, robotics devices, communications systems, and sophisticated instrumentation.

Admission Requirements Students are required to fulfill the following requirements: • Fulfill all WCCCD admission requirements. • Declare intent to enter this program on the WCCCD admission application or change intent at the campus admission office. • Fulfill course placement requirements based on COMPASS test. • Students must complete WCCCD program admission applications during the semester they are enrolled in the EE 101, DC Fundamentals course and submit them to the Campus Academic & Student Services Officer.
