Description Individuals completing the robotics program would possess the basic skills necessary for an entry level position as a mechanical and electrical technician capable of designing, programming, and installing robotic systems and the associated interfacing with programmable logic controller and human machine interface software. Program Learning Outcomes: -Program and troubleshoot basic robotic functions. -Implement adjustment procedures where applicable and recommended preventive maintenance measures. -Execute production operations including welding. Objectives: -Diagnose robot mechanical problems to the component level. -Replace all mechanical components on the robot. -Perform adjustments on the robot. -Perform periodic maintenance on the mechanical unit. -Power up and jog the robot. -Recover from common program and robot faults. -Execute production operations. -Create, modify, and execute a teach pendant program. -Backup and restore individual programs and files. -Perform mechanical adjustments to the robot. -conduct periodic maintenance on the mechanical unit. -Setup Welding SpotTool applications and all related I/O.
