Description The Certificate program in Electricity/Electronics provides students with those electrical/electronic skills that they and/or their employers require. The electricity/electronic courses are delivered in a customized, self paced, open entry/exit format. Skill options included in the program are: schematics, motor controls, facility maintenance, instrumentation, and PLC's. An excellent career choice for people who enjoy repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment, are good at making decisions and solving problems, have excellent communication skills, and are comfortable working independently. Students enrolled will learn math for electricians, electrical theory, the national electrical code, electrical motor controls, power distribution systems, facility maintenance, electrical control wiring, industrial electronics, and programmable logic controllers.
