Description This is a non-credit course offered completely online through WMU's Extended University Programs department The Microsoft Access 2007 Online Training Program is a comprehensive, performance-based certification preparation program that will validate your business computer skills using Microsoft Access 2007 software. You'll not only gain basic knowledge of the software, including how to use and design tables, forms, and queries, but you'll also learn how to link information, automate data entry, and more! Certification can help you differentiate yourself in today's competitive job market, broaden your employment opportunities, and garner greater earning potential. Certification can also help you advance in your current job. Mastering more skills increases your effectiveness and efficiency. Research indicates that Office-certified professionals are more confident and productive with Microsoft Office programs. Many employers consider certification in determining who to hire. Certification can be the difference in whether or not you get a job, or get a better job. Students who complete Microsoft Office Specialist training earn more (about 12%) than employees who are not certified. In addition, 82% of the students who get certified report getting a bonus upon receiving their certification. You will need to have Microsoft Word and Access 2007 on your computer This is a self-paced module in which you need to complete 35 online hours on your own time

Admission Requirements Students who enroll in the Microsoft Access 2007 program should have the equivalent of six months of hands-on computer experience. You should be able to manage files, including saving, updating, and backing up files. This program is compatible with the Windows XP and later operating systems and IE 7 and later browsers. You'll need the following Microsoft products already installed on your computer in order to take this program: Microsoft Word and Access 2007.
