Description Students in the CNA program learn basic nursing skills, rehabilitative care, infection control standards, medical terms and abbreviations, safety standards, emergency procedures (includes CPR/First Aid certification), and care of residents with special mental health needs. **Please Note: fees include 1st attempt at state certification test, all necessary equipment, uniforms and books for training as well as job placement and 6 months of retention services. Call for private pay tuition amounts. Full and partial scholarships are available based on financial need.

Admission Requirements Prospective students must have the following: A desire to work in the health care field At minimum a 4th/5th grade reading level Basic understanding of math functions (adding, subtracting, simple fractions and measurement) Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language Ability to work patiently and cooperatively with others Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to pass a TB screening A high school diploma or equivalent is recommended Physical requirements: Must be able to see, hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to meet the requirements of the position Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet Must be able to stand for long periods of time
